Evaluation release gates

A release gate turns an evaluation result into an explicit deployment decision. Define the dataset, evaluator, minimum score or pass rate, and the cost or latency limits that matter for the release.

Run the candidate and baseline against the same examples, record the comparison, and promote only after the gate passes. Link the promoted version back to its evaluation run so a later production regression has an explainable starting point.
